Consultation on Admissions policy 2018-2019

We are consulting on our admissions criteria with effect from September 2018. The change to our admissions criteria is that will no longer allocate 10% of the cohort on the basis of Sports Aptitude, but instead the whole cohort will be allocated on the same basis as outlined in our Admissions Policy 2018-19.

If you would like to comment on this change, please contact Mary Morris, Deputy Headteacher before 31st January 2017, through the main school email address, enquiries@prospect.reading.sch.uk

Admissions enquiries

If you are seeking an admissions place for this September please contact, by email, Mrs C Line cline@prospect.reading.sch.uk

An admissions meeting will then be arranged

School Admission Code December 2014

Admission of Children outside the Normal Age Group

Parents have a right to seek a place, for their child, outside of their normal age group.

The school will endeavour to take into account parent’s views, information about the child’s academic, social emotional development and where relevant medical history.

The school will also take into account the views of the Headteacher of the previous school.

Parents have a statutory right to appeal against the refusal of a place at Prospect.

This right does not apply if they are offered a place at the school but it is not in their preferred age group.
