Book Week 2018

No one make a Reading/reading joke

Book week is here! A week full of literacy-themed events set to get students, parents and staff reading books that are normally a little out of their comfort zone whilst also celebrating the joy and knowledge passed on through reading.

Monday
THE ULTIMATE YOUNG READERS QUIZ.
Y7 students working in groups have the chance to compete to win bags of goodies!  
Where: Library
When:  Lunchtime

Tuesday
Y7&8 - Decorate Your Door
Years 7 and 8 will be making group efforts in turning their classroom doors into their favourite book covers! The doors will have to be ready for Tuesday then will be on display throughout the week.

Wednesday
WHO`S READING?
Can you guess the teacher behind the book?
Photos and entry forms will be available in the Library and English Office.

Thursday
DRESS UP DAY
Members of staff will be coming to school dressed as their favourite book characters and pupils will be voting online to choose the best costume;
Where: Parade of costumes & photo in the covered area by the D block
When: Lunchtime

WHERE`S WALLY HUNT
Pictures of Wally, each with a letter attached will be hidden. Students can then hunt out the pictures and letters.
Once rearranged they spell out a famous author or book title.

Friday
SIX WORD STORY
Can our students or staff write a story in just 6 words? Submit finished stories to Ms Ray or Miss Rutkowska. Prizes will be available for student and staff categories.
