This year’s Shoebox Appeal has now launched! This is a great opportunity to be involved in making a significant difference to a disadvantaged child’s life at Christmas time. This has been hugely successful in the past and I am always extremely proud of the involvement that young people like to have in causes such as this. If you or any students would like to take part please come along to pick up a leaflet from me in The Bridge which gives all the instructions you will need - wrap a shoe box and fill it with a few inexpensive small gifts. Please then drop completed shoeboxes into me by Tuesday 13th November. I can offer a collection service within school if this is helpful!
Please check out the website for more information;
Samaritan's Purse - What We Do - Operation Christmas Child
Thank you to all those that have already dropped in completed shoeboxes!
You may consider doing one shoebox as a tutor group which makes it a lot easier for more people to be involved.
Please spread the word with students! Posters are up around school and you can also collect a leaflet from the main reception as well as from me. Tutors might like to share some of the many resources of information that are available on the website too, including videos.
I have lots of empty shoeboxes waiting to be wrapped and filled.
The more shoeboxes, the merrier!
